Thanks for visiting my web page! I'm a self taught artist with a few workshops thrown in. I grew up hand making greeting cards, writing poetry and sewing gifts for my family and friends. All through school I took art and writing classes. After graduating from high school, I came to the Outer Banks with friends for a vacation and found my second home and love… the ocean.
While attending college at Queens University in Charlotte, I worked in the Advertising, Public Relations and the Human Resources field. I graduated from Queens University earning a B.S. Degree in Communications with a concentration in Corporate Public Relations. After graduation, I sold my townhouse, moved to Ocracoke and started my own technical recruiting business remote to Charlotte and Raleigh. Yes, my friends and family thought I had gone crazy.
After living a year and a half on Ocracoke I decided to move up the Outer Banks to Bodie Island before landing on Roanoke Island.
While my business continued to grow I still felt something was missing. I woke up one day and said, "I'm an artist and I miss it." I took a couple of watercolor workshops, privates lessons and then an oil painting workshop. I finally came back to my childhood passion… the arts!
Eventually, I made a career change and became a real estate broker so I could work with my design skills and help owners stage their homes. I am still a Realtor but balance my real estate life with my passion of creative writing, art and design @ www.robinbagby.net. I can be reached at info@robinbagby.net or my cell 252-207-2258
